*Each division can decide to lift minimum staffing requirements. Employees who decide to take the day off from work must use vacation time.
**Commencement Day is observed by Homewood departments and SAIS and all bargaining unit employees eligible for holidays; other employees eligible for holiday leave receive a floating holiday.
***Presidents' Day is a designated holiday for bargaining unit employees eligible for holidays; other employees eligible for holiday leave receive a floating holiday. When the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on the Friday before and when the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed on the Monday following the holiday.

Holidays for bargaining unit employees appear in the Agreement between the University and Local 572.
