Notice from the Homewood Parking Office

February 5, 2003

Dear Homewood and Eastern Campus staff parkers:

Friday, February 21, 2003, will be the last day our San Martin Valley lot will be available for member parking as construction on two new buildings and a garage finally begins.

On Monday, February 24, our new parking lot at 33rd Street and Ellerslie Avenue will be opened.

Attendants and signage will be strategically stationed on Homewood campus to alert staff parkers when the Homewood lots are full and to give direction our Eastern lot where attendants and directional signage will also be present.

The lot at Eastern is spacious and well lit, and it will be patrolled throughout the day and evening by both parking and safety personnel. Security cameras and emergency phones will also be in operation.

Shuttle buses will run frequently throughout the workday and evening between Eastern and Homewood. Shuttles will run a circuit route, discharging and picking up passengers at nine convenient locations at Homewood and two at Eastern. You can see those location on this map.

Supplemental transportation needs will be handled by the parking office courtesy escort service, 410-516- 7275.

While our new spaces on Garland Field will help to reduce the number of Homewood-based parkers at Eastern we do expect about 200 cars to be there on a daily basis.

As promised, to assist members who may on occasion have scheduled mid-day medical appointments, Parking Manager Raymond Infussi will set aside a number of spaces near the Homewood visitors lot. These spaces may be reserved in advance on a first-come, first-served basis by calling our parking office courtesy desk, 410-516-7275.

Sincerely,

Ronald J. Mullen
Director of Security,
Parking and Transportation Services

Raymond Infussi
Homewood Parking manager
