From Baltimore and points north: Take I-95 to I-495 south (Washington Beltway). From 495, take exit 22B to 295 south, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, to the New York Avenue exit. On New York Avenue (Route 50) stay in the right-hand lane toward downtown Washington. After about 8 miles bear right at Mount Vernon Square, onto Massachusetts Avenue. Take the underpass at Thomas Circle, circle around Scott Circle. The Rome Building is the third building on your right after you cleared Scott Circle.

Or, you can take I-95 to I-495 west (Washington Beltway) to exit 30, Route 29 south toward Silver Spring. Follow Route 29 through downtown Silver Spring until you reach the circle at the intersection of 16th Street, N.W.; turn left onto 16th Street. Take 16th Street to Scott Circle, bearing to the right to avoid the underpass. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue.
